Jazz at the Library: Herbie Hancock's Speak Like a Child

Rick Helzer presents the music of Herbie Hancock's album Speak Like a Child at the Woodward Park Regional Library on September 15, 2026. The free performance runs from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The library is at 944 East Perrin Avenue in northeast Fresno.

The Program The set focuses on Speak Like a Child, the 1968 Blue Note album by pianist Herbie Hancock. The Jazz at the Library series brings live jazz into the branch for public, in-person concerts at no charge.

Who Puts It On The series is a joint effort of JazzFresno, the Fresno County Public Library, KFSR 90.7 FM, and the Woodward Park Friends of the Library. It is funded in part through the City of Fresno's Measure P arts program, administered by the Fresno Arts Council.
