About Reyna Grande

Grande is a Mexican-American author and memoirist known for writing about immigration, family separation, identity, and the pursuit of the American Dream. Born in Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico, she crossed the U.S.-Mexico border as an undocumented child at age nine, an experience that runs through much of her work. Migrant Heart is her newest memoir, and the Fresno conversation covers the book along with her writing process and the stories she tells about migration and belonging. Bonnie Hearn Hill, a Fresno author, joins her for the discussion.
