TACO FUN RUN- FRESNO

The Taco Fun Run pays you in tacos at the finish line. The 2026 edition is Sunday, August 16 at 7:00 AM, starting from the Mountain View Shelter at Woodward Park, 7775 N Friant Rd in north Fresno. The main event is a 6K (3.72 miles) run or walk rather than the usual 5K, and there is also a 2-mile speed walk. Entry is $45 for either the 6K or the speed walk and $25 for the kids' races. After the race, runners get tacos and agua fresca.

The Distances

The 6K is a run/walk on the Woodward Park course, with age-group awards three deep across the under-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-plus brackets, plus Athena and Clydesdale categories. The 2-mile speed walk is a walk-only event with no age-group or top-finisher awards. Kids' races start at 8:00 AM. Every finisher gets a unique medal, and this race is part of the Reyes Running Series, so it carries an extra series medal.

Getting There and Bib Pickup

Woodward Park sits off Friant Road in north Fresno, near the San Joaquin River bluffs. Packet pickup runs Saturday, August 15 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Fleet Feet, and again on race morning from 5:45 to 6:45 AM at the Mountain View Shelter.

The walk option and kids' races make this an easy one for families, and the post-race tacos are the draw.
