Fresno State Winery, founded in 1997, was the first commercially bonded winery on a university campus in the country, and every bottle is student-made. Students produce up to 10,000 cases across 20-plus varietals a year, sold at the Gibson Farm Market on campus. The tasting bar inside the market pours free samples on Friday afternoons, roughly 2 to 4 PM, on a schedule that shifts with the semester; call (559) 278-6070 first. Tasting is 21-plus; the market around it is all ages.
