Christmas Tree Lane turns two miles of Van Ness Boulevard in Old Fig Garden into a December drive-through light display, a Fresno tradition since 1920 that began with one tree decorated in memory of a child. About 140 homes and 300 trees take part, and the organizers count more than 340,000 visitors a season. It is free, with donations accepted, running nightly from early December through Christmas night, roughly 6 to 10 PM on weeknights and later on weekends. Park on a side street and walk a stretch; dogs on leash are fine.
