Clovis Botanical Garden packs about four acres of water-wise planting into the corner of Clovis and Alluvial, next to Dry Creek Park. Beds focus on drought-tolerant California natives alongside Mediterranean, South African, and Chilean plants suited to Central Valley yards. Admission is free, the garden is volunteer-run, and it opens Wednesday through Sunday 9 AM to 4 PM. Go in spring for peak bloom and take planting ideas home; that is the point of the place.
