The Discovery Center

The Discovery Center is a hands-on science and nature museum on Winery Avenue in east Fresno. It is small and built for kids, with indoor exhibits and a large outdoor area.

Outside there are desert tortoises, a cactus garden, rockets, and old hands-on physics exhibits left from its science-center days. The indoor space rotates through science and nature displays.

It is open limited days, so check before going. Admission is low, and it works well for younger kids and a calm hour outdoors.
